mine is a basic GPS lap timer that you can attach anywhere in the car. it only records speed and location at various points on the track. it does not record any vehicular inputs such as steering angle, revs, braking, etc.

Jay was using VBOX. Both the VBOX and the AIM Solo DL can take take feed from the ECU/OBD to overlay throttle, brake, gear (and other metrics) with the GPS and accelerometers and any video (Inside and outside view).
