Got the bearings replaced. Bad news is that the sound is still there. Could very well be that the original bearings were fine. I hand rotated one of the hub/bearings that was removed. There was a slight friction/rubbing sound, very faint.
BTW --- orig bearings off the car were manufactured by KOYO of Japan --- not F.*.G of Germany, like the replacements.
So, it could very well be that I need all 4 tires re-balanced. Or, that the ContiSportContact 2's need to go.
