Seriously, if I can do it, anyone can. I know NOTHING about cars haha.
I even ran the USB cable through the firewall and into my glove box for easy firmware upgrades. 
Just make sure you have plenty of sunlight (not like me and finish with a flashlight) and all the torx screw drivers/bits.
It's lengthy (took me about 1.5 hrs), but easy.
