I gave up on D/DS mode on that car. I was in manual shift mode 90% of the time.
Of course, that's why the damn wire broke in the shifter :P
For those of you with ATs: be careful, as the shifter is NOT designed for frequent flips from D to DS (there is a cable that gets pulled, and it WILL break eventually). I guarantee it. There's someone else on this thread that had this exact problem. We were both lucky to fix it under warranty, but if you're out, then it's a $500 shifter assembly or a lot of soldering and hoping your skillz are leet enough. |
Btw, it's not too hard to repair based on other guys on this forum but this kind of issue should not happen.
