I purchased my 2009 335D CPO. It's just a piece of mind that any major problems are covered with the CPO warranty for a total of 6 years / 100k miles.
There is a $50 fee every time you bring the car in for service while under the CPO warranty.
FYI - The CPO warranty does not cover paint or any interior issues.
