Yea I thought that too... but tried sylicone spray etc and that made it worse...

I sprayed the cotton with the WD40 away from the car cleaned the seals and edges and let it dry (doors left open). I don't smell it now at all.

Never had it so quiet. It was always quiet on nice even recently surfaced roads but the uneven rough roads were a nightmare. In recent times the councils have been ignoring the pot holes etc, sign of the times no money to spend on re-surfacing these days...

A BMW techi told me this morning to clean them all with WD40 as they do this in the stealer... Had mine in today getting the rear brake pads done.

Really works a treat.. The creek comes from where the TOP door edge meets the seal he told me.
