That's what I'm afraid of. Is this normal on a BMW? I've driven hundreds of thousands of miles in all of the Ford vehicles I've ever owned and never had a coil go bad, or anything go bad for that matter. This car just turned over 40k and this happens?
They replaced the coil pack and it purs like a kitten now. They also changed the oil, microfilter, and rear brake pads. I think they even washed the car?
Good service, but the warranty is up at the end of the year and I'm not looking forward to their labor costs. I asked them what they'd charge for my next oil change after warranty expires and they said $160.
There is only one dealership in the Memphis area, so no competetive pricing.
