I'm sure you'll have to maintain the m3 and the evo just as much as the 335i. You have warranty on the turbos and wastegate until 80/120.

Extended warranty for 7 years to 100k is generally $4k+

My M3 was brand new and had the new BMW warranty and my 335xi had a warranty too so it was just tires, brake pads, and wiper blades for me. Evo's aren't cheap to maintain but definitely less than a BMW is. I know because I have looked at maintenance costs plus any warranty for the Evo X is half the cost of a 335xi. A 2yr/24k mile powertrain warranty through BMW is about $2400 and thats at cost(know a Finance Manager at a BMW dealership) and I can get a bumper to bumper, 4yr/48k mile warranty for the Evo through USAA for $2450.
