Looks as tho, it will physically fit, but you might run into wiring issues...depending on if your car has ZPP or not...Also the e9x has a condensation sensor on the windshield that I dont believe e46 were equipped with.

yes it appears it should be plug and play. the condensation sensor is not part of the mirror so it shouldn't affect anything.
