So "red ring light" around the socket doesn't necessarily mean there is power.
That is good information! But I am a bit more confused now.
All:
Can anyone else chime in?
- I have no power to the cigarette lighter
- The "red ring light" does not come on
- I have replaced the correct fuse
- I completely start the car up when testing
What other components are suspect?

If you can note the part# that would be great.
