Speaking of which, I test-drove an '08 M3 today (Roseville BMW). I'm starting to itch for an upgrade, and am thinking either an M3 coupe/sedan or 335i convertible. I enjoyed the M3, but wasn't blown away with it either. With my mods, I found my car to be just as planted and better off-the line. The only thing I really enjoyed in the M was the steering which was much tighter and responsive.
I must say, if there's one reason to not get an M, it's the negative image that goes along with it. Even Top Gear calls M owners 'cocks'! lol
