wow ... all of the credit card and nylon talk ...
pop the hood, look directly behind the release lever. see the small hole ? see the plastic nipple in there ? that is the peg from the roundel. push it with a screw driver. that will be the peg on the right side of the roundel. now just grab hold of the roundel and pull it off. takes about 15 seconds and no possible way to scratch the paint.
