Tips for refitting 335i airbox....

My 335i is in the dealers next week for some warranty work so I thought better safe than sorry and removed the BMS filters and JB3.....

Got the filters removed easily, The JB3 removed and wires fitted back into the ECU.

Tried literally for about an hour to push the plastic pipe ends onto the factory airbox once it was in position until I was getting properly frustrated. Took it off and sanded down the ends of the airbox a tiny bid (thinking the clamps on the BMW filters may have distorted the plastic piping) and applied some motor oil, still no good.

Eventually had a random thought to heat up the pipes so they were a bit more flexible (you can use anything I guess, heat gun or hairdryer), with a bit of WD40 they slipped on easily first time.

Hope that'll help someone if they have to do the same!
