Cool Using different rear and front tires.

Hello, I'm new to e90post. I hope someone can advise me about changing my RFT tires:
I need to gt rid of the run flat tires because they are really uncomfortable. (Continental SportContact 2 SSR very bad tires).
So as i was doing some research i found that the best tire that would suite me would be BridgestonePotenza RE970AS Pole Position. I found no matching pair for the rear wheels. I need 255/40-17.
So I thought about putting a pair of Continental ExtremeContact DWS on the rear wheels ( they are good in snow )and a pair of Bridgestone on the front wheels ( they have pretty good handling and cornering capability).
I believe by doing so i would improve cornering( front wheels ) and snow traction ( rear wheel ) and these tires will match the car recommended sizes.
What do you think of my choice?
Thank you in advance,
