Does that imply that the FMIC will hang down low enough to 'push down' on the bottom bumper plastic, and that's why you need to trim it? Hence making the FMIC extend down below the bottom of the bumper? FMIC would be strike-prone (road clutter, snags, etc)?

edit : The part that I talk about is visible in the VK video

@ 2:04 : person pulls on the plastic that I am thinking of.
It should not really hang any lower but rather stick farther towards the bumper.

The core is a 6" x 6" x 24" core.
