Downtown is really no worse for car theft than anyplace 30 miles from downtown. And modded cars really aren't at any more risk, they'll steal whatever they happen to be into at the time.
The main place where I see the most nice cars is in Buckhead.
If you're in Lawrenceville and want to see my modded 135 it's in the Discover Mills parking lot regularly. My optometry office is inside the mall two doors down from Medieval Times.
