Gilmore knew he couldnt pull it off when he ran... I have never... ever.. ever... seen a tax implemented then taken away... I would have gladly forked over the money if it was getting rolled into (not HOT lane) expansion of 495, and finishing FFX County Pkway, doing something about rt. 7, you know.. generally fixing NoVA highway issues... but that being said.. MD is ten times worse. bottom line is you cannot live in the DC area and not get tax raped.. doesnt matter which party is office, or what the name of the governor at the time is.
