A question for everyone with a remap in the UK: how do you handle warranty issues at the dealer? In the U.S., a big fear is having the dealer threaten to deny warranty work because of the presence of a tune, thus typically over here the owner will remove evidence of the tune, and erase all codes before going to the dealer.
Are your remaps such that they cannot be detected by the dealer? We have a tuner in the U.S. that uses a German tuner that claims this is the case. Or - do you remap after the factory warranty has lapsed, thus bypassing the issue entirely?
I ask because we d owners in the U.S. do not have the plethora of choices you seem to have over there, and I personally would like to know what kind of options we might potentially have going forward. Thanks!
