I had a 2001 E46 that had the equally irritating "sticky gas pedal" problem. After posting on several forums, a BMWNA representative took note of the issue and eventually - after nearly a year - a new part was made that corrected the problem. I believe that this problem might be an easier fix since it may well be software controlled. We need to keep mentioning the problem and hopefully someone will listen.
