The only time I would lower a car is when the center of the wheels are actually lower then the center of the wheel arch. That makes the car look awkward IMO. The E36 I still have is like that and that always naged me.

Eibach is German. Personally, I'm all for upgrading individual components, as long as they enhance the car's performance.
I also dislike that tucked in the fender look though.
