I did the same recently(black grills and black trim).
I used vinyl wrap from BMWSHADOWLINE dot com. It was my first time using vinyl and i must say I am pleased with the results. It was very easy to work with and VERY forgiving. Looks pretty darn good too! But yeah definitely give yourself a good part of a saturday, take your time and have fun with it!
