Thanks guys. I'm glad that many of you liked it. I'd be honored of course if future DIYs are written with the same concept taken from this DIY.
The idea basically consists of a couple of things: (1) identify and label the parts in the pictures, and (2) embed short step-by-step instructions into the pictures. Ultimately, my goal was to write a DIY that can be followed using a series of sequential pictures.
If anyone is interested, I used Skitch (skitch.com) for the annotations. This is a mac app in beta phase so I downloaded it for free. Not sure if there is a windows equivalent. Snag-It comes to mind but not sure if it's free.
