Hey hey! The homelink upgrade does not require a software flash. There is a difference in the wiring, but both versions (EU & US) are in the PDF on page 1.
I'm not sure if you need the same wiring harness as we do, but studying the instructions, you should be able to tell if you can use the same one (the added wiring harness for the upgrade).
