Got the shaft from Payless Car rental @ SJC. Man, the folks are shady. They'll try hard to up-rent you (fine with me, and I entertain offers), asks for utility bill for local renters, charges $500 security deposit (other top tier places place a soft hold), adds roadside assistance without consent, and your online reservation may not align with the counter <<< Renter beware...
Too late for me, I am out of the city for the weekend, or I would pay a little more for top tier rental companies...I actually had a parallel rental at their better competitors, but I opted for the price and additional day at a minimal cost...
Fox & Payless, ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww and never again
Just had to vent and warn those who rent cars at SJC.
