Happy to report that after switching to an iPhone 5, I have not had a single drop-out. Works beautifully!

I got the 64GB model and I am now mostly listening to Spotify in offline mode since it draws too much data off the network otherwise, at least in "extreme" mode which is what I use.

I love this set-up!
