Here's an AIS snapshot of the Baja region tonight. This area can be unreliable for radar coverage, but it is great when it works. Tonight it is getting lots of ship's signals, but a lot of the time you won't see a single ship. It is great to catch your ship on this radar screen when it works, because it gives you about a day of extra tracking before the ship reaches the southern CA radar.

The port just below the tip of Baja is the port of Manzanillo, MEXICO.
