I have this same opinion...
I test drove a 2012 328i version no added sport stuff then test drove my 2010 328i. After a lot of thinking I went with E90.
Even though its the stripped out year of the E90 it just felt better and looked better in the front...I hate the new straight hood look....plus I got a great deal on my ride...
