if you can, park and take the subway/cab around manhattan. driving isnt bad, parking is a royal pain.
I live downtown. if its in Manhattan, and i cant walk, i'm taking a cab or the train. car is staying safe in its spot in the garage. us NY'er "Touch Park". My S60R's rear bumper looked like someone took a shotgun to it after street parking for a month.
