Ok - so after browsing through 15 pages in this section, I gave up and decided to start a new topic for what my question is and what I am looking for.

Recently I have seen a couple of E90 335i's go by with a blacked out set of tail lights...they look awesome and I almost asked one of them to stop on the side so that I could ask where he got them from.

I have read about the blackline, etc. but these were blacked out....almost looked like tinted. I have read about spray painting them versus tinting them. Any suggestions?

I have a E90 328i 4 sedan - sapphire black metal color. Of course I would not want to spend a few hundred dollars on it so what in the opinion of the folks here is the best route?

Also know of any good shops that can either spray paint or tint it for me in the San Jose, Santa Clara area?
