Sealants can and typically are topped with waxes;
Cquartz will take a booster ot topping, CarPro sells a specific product Reload for that;
OptiCoat is said to not work well with a topper but I have read of people using Reload on it.
The coatings work for 1 to 2 years. I currently have OC2 on my daughters car, the acid test, as she rarely takes any care of it and washes always with whatever soap she has and the worst rag on the planet. Going on 6 months and if I wash it when she visits it comes very clean and looks good. No experience with Cquartz although I may buy a sample and coat my wheels with it. I top BFWD all the time on my cars.
Toppping is a personal preference and sometime hotly debated subject.
