I am at a loss there. I have never had the transmission just seize up after putting in new trans fluid in and trying running it though the gears prior to adding more trans fluid.
When you pulled the pan filter off, did you check the hole where the filter neck slides into for a gasket? Often times a gasket will get caught up in there.
