I reset all my adaptions on the 330i and my car was surging like mad, wasn't driving properly and so I got scared.
I decided to do a throttle reset and the car went back to normal and started idling like it used to.
If you're scared about doing the adaptions reset then you can leave them out and just do the throttle.
There is quite literally zero risk in resetting the throttle.
I'm not 100% sure what exactly is the difference between the throttle reset and the throttle valve reset other than I do know they are different things.
As I said, I had the same surging and revs over the place....
