Had the dreaded brake squeal... Did gobs of research and settled on two things: change rotors, push out parking brake.

My parking brake used to engage at 3, now it engages at 5 (I have an auto and the two places I park 95% of the time are flat so I can get away with this). I changed out my old rotors for some Zimmermans.

Squeal is goooooooooone! It's been a couple months now and they are silent. Not sure if it was the rotors or pushing out the parking brake but one of the two (or maybe the combo) worked for me.
