Possibly more to OP's story but given the facts above I completely agree with this, as harsh as it may sound.
If you don't mind sharing, is there a reason you feel obligated to help her? Sounds like she needs a beater car, and definitely not another E90, especially a 335. She should sell the car as is, take the hit and buy a cheap E46 or a "new-ish" Honda IMHO.
