My final update to this thread, I watched the car be driven away earlier this week (admittedly with a lump in my throat) by BMW who left behind an x6 in its place. The dealership i originally bought the e92 from still seemed to have a soft spot for it and unlike my local dealer or other garages which i had approached for PX they saw value in the mods i had made. I pretty much got a straight swap and i can't complain.
The e71 has come with premium sound option so i will be putting my Morel / Jehnerts / JML / MS-8 audio setup up for sale in the classifieds.
So, i'm going to keep it simple with this one, i swapped out the grilles and plan to change the wheels, debadge and possibly swap the exhaust trim but no serious mods like the last project. The X5/X6 forum unfortunately seems to be deserted in comparison to over in here but i guess the 1 positive of that is it may help subdue the mod-bug a little!
