Yay for old thread revival!

An old, beat up, TAG 6000 Automatic. Only reason I spent that much is because I wanted a watch that would last me through all the abuse I give it.

I'm bigger on function than form, but things I like still have to be well engineered. I'd never own a rolex now days because it's just about the bling. They may still be engineered and built to the highest standards but they're just too showy.

I'd rather get my grand-dad's old rolex restored ... band is gone, it's just a plain stainless case, with a white face and black hands/numbers. But if you give it a good shake it'll still start up. And I think he bought it in the late 50's, early 60's? That's what a rolex should be.
