My BMW extended warrenty review - the dreaded clutch judder

As per the title I thought I'd share my experience with BMW extended warranty for anyone who's thinking of taking one out

We all know about the clutch judder problems which seem to plague manual BMW's. I hadn't really noticed it on mine until the other day in some heavy traffic on the M62 when it became really apparent so I rang Stratstone Leeds and booked it in for checking over. I had to agree to pay them to remove the gearbox for inspection

After a worrying few hours I got a phone call saying the flywheel bearing had failed covering the clutch in grease - result, new clutch and flywheel all under warranty Not bad considering my car has 59800 miles and I have only had the warranty just over a month.

So to sum it up if anyone is thinking about taking out a BMW extended warranty I highly recommend it! I've never had any form of warranty before due to their 'wear and tear' get out of anything clause but no such problems with the BMW one
