Unless you have a very bad driving record and you don't walk into court and tell the judge to take the gavel, insert it in his ass and rotate it, there is no way you'd get sent to jail for 6 months for going 35 over.
As long as you have a decent lawyer, just prepare the check book and you should be alright. It's not going to be cheap, but you won't end up in jail.
