Sorry to hear about your accident,
I would stick with the original bumper bar, because:
- you need to have the original bar back. After replacement if there were rattle or whatever imperfections on the work you are backed up by BMW.
- It may affect your resale value. If you sell your car with after-market rear bumper and if you dont have the original bumper, the potential buyer would know that you had an accident.
- Not sure if your/their insurance will be happy to pay for it.
