In my other post I should have said rear bearing.
I've replaced front bearings on both my previous e30 M3 and e36 M3.

For sliding anything on a spindle.
My mechanic told me to put them in the oven at about 200-250.
Not hot enough to do any damage but will cause the race to thermally expand and slide on the spindle.

Worked great on the front bearing of my e36.
