If I remember your posts, you had the JBd pretty much since your car was new. From my understanding of the EGR operation relative to AFR, with the JBd active, you have less EGR. Therefore; less build up (carbon/soot build up) in the intake valves, etc. but more for the DPF to handle.

Your symptoms sound like a clogged/restrictive DPF. DPF versus no DPF is about 30hp (saw a dyno chart somewhere) so it can definitely be a restrictive component.
