A racing school may be a good idea at some point but first, I recommend a good high performance driving school using street cars. There are several excellent commercial schools located in various parts of the country. In addition, several chapters of the BMW CCA offer outstanding schools; as does the national Club during O'fest. Participating in a racing school before doing a street school (or a few) in street cars would be a waste of time and money even if the racing school accepted you as a relative novice. Congratulations on your commitment to learn to enjoy your car to the fullest.
