qtasad, that's horrible to have happen to you! Glad you're okay...the car will get sorted out.
I've only had a small fire once years ago on one of my cars, but ever since I started driving, each and every one of my cars has always had a fire extinguisher (and a first aid kit) on board...usually a 5ABC. I've seen cars with a small fire under the hood that ended up writing off the car as the fire built. Fire is nasty stuff, IMO, and I'll do everything I can to guard against it, or put it out...if at least to buy some time to make sure everyone is safe.
