this has been my experience on e93: the only bulb affected by canBuss errors are the central front map & cabin light unit (convertible got only one in the front), at other locations by virtue of wiring resistance the low current led will not trigger canBuss errors. I bought mine from
http://www.carhidkits.com cauz they emit a true blue white hue, they are either type 194 wedge type, 32 mm festoon and 36 mm festoon. For the vanity & rear center console (T10), I yanked off the tiny pea bulbs (4 each) and just replaced with a sub miniature 6 LED by Luxor1. I bought three type 194 wedge type w/computer chips for the front center module. And that's all I did, no canBuss errors, no flickering and no shutdowns after engine start/stop's. Note: I replaced the door sill LED with red color, it is super cool at nite to flood the ground with an array of red light every time you open the door.
