I went with the 335 because it's an "Eco" drive.
I was looking at the E60 M5 and the 335 and went with the 335 primarily because it uses less gas. It was also about 12 000 U$ cheaper which did also help my decision. All M:s are great for active driving and to loose your license, the 335 is rather inviting when cruising which I do most of the time.
Now, it's not because of the money I don't like a car to suck fuel, but more because I don't feel good burning almost twice the ammount of fuel to go faster.
Ok, the M5 is a beast, as is the Rs6 but you have to stop for gas a lot in either.
