I have a Hong Kong spec 325iA e90 (march 2010 build) with iDrive.

Had started an earlier thread with the assumption that I have Hifi but now that I took delivery of the car, I found out that car actually has base stereo (no tweeter on A pillars).

I was finally able to find an installer that knows BMW cars quite well and specializes in installation (actually recommend by the dealer). He is very flexible in terms of installing stuff that .he doesn't carry (If I buy online or when I am traveling abroad).

When I first walked in, he recommended:
DLS Reference R4 (2 pairs)
DLS 4ch amp (not sure which one)
A high level to line level converter box.

Then I told him, I am interested in good SQ.

Now I am considering the below (total budget is 1200 for components) based on recommendation of many people on the forum on different threads and my dealer.
JBL MS-8 (need to find a place that will ship to hong kong)
Morel Dotech Ovation in front.
BMW window tweeter trim.

He will help me install the above but can't vouch for SQ because he has never used JBL MS-8.

Few questions.
1) Any other combo I should consider?

2) What about getting Blaupunkt pnp amp tha-555 to save some money? They have a BMW harness, but not sure if it will work with idrive+base audi. Anyone know about this? I saw the DYI and it was on a HU without iDrive.

3) What about JBL XD 600/6 should I consider it?

4) Will technic's harness work for me (since I have base audio+idrive)?
