What? Beer in Germany and UK is cheaper than Canada. (Compare the same quality, not a Bud light..)
I lived during more than 2 years in Europe (Germany, UK and France) and there is a lot of pros and cons but at the end, everything get balanced.
For the UK, today the pounds is at 1.6 CAD but in 2005 it was 2.5. At that time, everything was some much expensive and the English where buying any house in the rest of Europe. Today, they struggling to pay their morgage.
For the oil price, don't forget that you drive less their and you can easily get a diesel car.
