Not a great deal you can do to avoid something like that...
A BMW 5 series hit a large horse on the M5 a few days ago.
Looking at the front and roof of that car which was completely caved in with bits of carcass inside the cabin,I was amazed that the driver walked away with none serious injuries-a scary sight!
