That splits makes complete sense to me for anyone with a normal body. The mudder was 12 miles at an 10.8 min mile and if I had to go another 14, it would have been mostly a walk.

Thats so hard on your body, I would never do a marthon. My legs felt great after 6 miles and things started to really hurt around 8 miles. I think anything 8 miles and under would leave me sore, but no real damage. North of that is just to much isnt worth the damage.
Yeah first hour zipped by. 13.1 still feeling strong but ankle getting stiff. 17 I was starting to feel it but over all good. Things went south quickly.

But yes, first and last. Had to scratch it off the bucket list, not getting younger.

I'll stick to halves and obstacle races.

FWIW, the FV26 and the related half and 20 mile was well organized. Good flat shady course...lots of water and gatorade. Id recommend to anyone interested.
