If you financing a car for say 20-24k get a good downpayment of like 5k and save another 5k for insurance and incase (god forbid) you lose your job or hit a bump in the road you can still make payments until you find another job. I hope you don't have to deal with an asshole salesman because it can make you not want to buy a car ever again, even thought the first salesman was an asshole to me twice I dont hold grudges I just dont give him the time of day, but I still give him and everyone respect no matter what.

I'm currently saving for the down payment. Have about 6k right now. Trying to get the loan down to a low amount so I can also have an apartment and not just a car.
